Just as a Featherston chair in good condition is hard to come by these days, so too is an original Danish ‘Papa Bear’ chair, designed in 1956 by Svend Skipper. Thanks then must go to Jeanette Sorensen of Danish Red in Melbourne for convincing Skippers Furniture in Denmark to relaunch the original armchair in limited numbers in teak and oak. The first shipment of the much-coveted classic arrived in Australia at the end of 2011.
